Algerian delegation led by Minister of Energy Mustapha Guitouni to take part in REW

Algerian Minister of Energy Mustapha Guitouni has confirmed he will take part in Russian Energy Week 2017. The Algerian delegation will be comprised of senior officials from the Algerian Ministry of Energy as well as the CEOs of Algeria’s largest energy companies, including Sonatrach President and CEO Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour, Sonelgaz President and CEO Mohamed Arkab, National Representative in the GECF Mehdi Bishari, and Algerian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Smail Allaoua.

“The participation of such a prominent delegation in the Russian Energy Week – an event on an international scale – demonstrates Algeria’s interest in strengthening Algerian–Russian cooperation in the energy sector and exploring all the opportunities for establishing a mutually beneficial partnership”, Allaoua said.

Several panel discussions with a focus on the prospects of the global energy market are planned as part of REW 2017. Delegations from Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bangladesh, and other countries have already confirmed their participation in the event.
