‘Efficiency and Safety in the Coal Industry: Best Practices and Innovative Technologies’ roundtable concludes at REW

6 October, Moscow. – The roundtable ‘Efficiency and Safety in the Coal Industry: Best Practices and Innovative Technologies’ was held during Russian Energy Week.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Institute for Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valery Zakharov, SUEK Deputy Director for Production Operations Vladimir Lisovskiy, IMC Montan Director Sergey Nikishichev, Moscow Mining University (MISiS Mining College) Director Alexander Myaskov, and OMT Chairman of the Board Sergey Dranichnikov.

The roundtable was moderated by Director of the Department of Coal and Peat Industry at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergey Mochalnikov.

The meeting participants discussed the implementation of the plan to reduce industrial injuries in the coal industry as well as the innovative projects that are being implemented in Russia today to ensure the safety of mining operations. In addition, the speakers noted the importance of scientific support for the coal industry.
