TATNEFT is one of the largest Russian oil companies, being an internationally recognized vertically integrated holding. Founded in 2001 TMK is one of the world’s leading producers of tubular products for the oil and gas industry. Since 2009 it has been ranked first in the world by volume of pipes shipped. In 2016, TMK’s pipe shipments totaled 3.46 million tonnes.

The Company operates 27 production sites in Russia, the U.S., Canada, Romania, Oman and Kazakhstan. TMK has the world’s largest steel pipe production capacity, the largest share of TMK’s sales belongs to high-margin oil country tubular goods (OCTG). More than 20% of the world’s oil and gas production is made using TMK pipe.

The company is a vertically integrated holding specialized in solar energy industry. The company operates a production unit (the solar module production factory in Novocheboksarsk, the Chuvash Republic), the development unit (design and construction of solar power plants, with a portfolio of more than 434 MW) and the R&D Center for thin-film technologies in energetics (Saint-Petersburg), the only specialized research and development center for photovoltaics in Russia.
