Over 600 Foreign Guests Confirm Participation in REW 2018

Over 6,000 guests from more than 70 foreign countries are expected to attend Russian Energy Week in Moscow, with representatives of official and business circles coming from Austria, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Cyprus, China, Libya, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Jersey, the Republic of Korea, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Finland, France, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, and Japan, among others.

Adviser to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov noted that the REW is the country’s biggest event in the energy industry, which is attended by heads of state and government, the CEOs of some of the largest energy companies from around the world, leading world experts, heads of the Russian regions, and media representatives.

“Interest among foreign participants in Russian Energy Week in Moscow is on the rise. This year we expect a large number of guests from Europe and Asia. Heads of international organizations and associations as well as heads of foreign ministries and agencies will be actively involved in the business programme. To date, representatives from about 60 foreign companies have confirmed they will take part in the Forum”, Kobyakov said.

REW business events will be attended by the heads of international organizations and associations, including Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, Secretary General, Chief Executive Officer, World Energy Council Christoph Frei , World Energy CouncilPresident of the International Gas Union Joo-Myung Kang, Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum Yury Sentyurin, Secretary General of the International Energy Forum Sun Xiansheng, Vice President for Economics and Minister of Industry and National Production of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Tareck El Aissami, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić, Minister of Energy, Industry, and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) Khalid A. Al-Falih. More than 20 ministers from different countries have confirmed they will be attending the Forum.
