On 14 October 2022, the Youth Day of
the Russian Energy Week International Forum will be held in Moscow. The Youth
Day will be attended by heads of the Russian Ministry of Energy, industry
companies, universities, and 1,500 young professionals, students, and
schoolchildren.
The Youth Day of the Russian Energy
Week International Forum is the main event in the field of energy development,
where young representatives of the fuel and energy complex meet with industry
leaders and experts, exchange ideas and jointly shape the youth agenda of the
fuel and energy complex for the next year.
The Russian Energy Week and its
Youth Day are organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Ministry of
Energy of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Moscow City
Government. The Youth Day is operated by the Reliable Change Foundation.
The REW Youth Day programme includes
activities dedicated to the promotion of the fuel energy complex and
engineering education.
The central event will be a panel
discussion with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian
Federation Alexander Novak, representatives of fuel and energy sector
executives and leading companies, and young industry leaders. The guests will
discuss with young people the prospects of energy sector development,
digitalization in the industry, initiatives of young specialists and students
and other topics. During the session, awards will also be presented to winners
of federal industry competitions.
Leaders of the largest fuel and
energy companies will meet at the round table ‘Fuel and Energy Complex for
Youth’ and discuss youth policy and youth projects in 2023. Together with
representatives of the management of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the
Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the Russian Ministry of Education
and Science, Rosmolodezh, and ‘Russia – Land of Opportunities’ (an autonomous
non-profit organization), the formats of work within the All-Russian Youth
Action Plan aimed at promoting the fuel and energy complex, energy saving, and
engineering and technical education will be defined.
The final day of the REW will be a
meeting place for youth industry associations. The Youth Electricity Council
will hold a regular meeting, a panel session entitled ‘Youth Communities as a
Catalyst for Global Processes’ and a lecture on energy information modelling
technologies, augmented and virtual reality. In turn, the BRICS Youth Energy
Agency will bring together representatives of different countries at the
meeting ‘BRICS + Africa: New Potential for Youth Energy Cooperation’.
Among the activities are key
interactive sessions for the REW Youth Day, where teams of students and young
professionals will prepare projects for presentation to experts and subsequent
implementation.
Teams of young professionals will
traditionally meet in the REW Cup of the CASE-IN International Engineering
Championship, hosted by the CASE-IN Organising Committee.
Special events for young REW participants
are prepared by Rosmolodezh, the Moscow Government, Russia – Land of
Opportunities, the Content Foundation, SO UES, Rosatom, Transneft, Mosenergo,
Gazprom Neft, RusHydro, Hevel Group, and others.
The programme will be complemented
by the final stages and awarding of the winners of federal and corporate
events, including the All-Russian competition for graduate qualification papers
in electric power and electrical engineering with the participation of Rosseti
management and the presentation of the Youth Global Energy Outlook.
Schoolchildren will also take part
in the Youth Day: a special career guidance route has been developed for them –
introducing them to the Russian fuel and energy complex and REW member
companies.
Throughout the day, there will be an
open lecture session for participants.
The Youth Day will conclude with the
traditional Energy of Youth Initiatives 2023 session, where the best youth
projects will be presented and the winners of the 2022 youth competitions will
be awarded. The session will result in the formation of an agenda of youth
events and initiatives for 2023.
There will be an open lecture room
for participants throughout the day.
Registration for the Youth Day is
open on the Russian Energy Week International Forum website rusenergyweek.com/.
