Second Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum to Be Held in June during SPIEF 2019
The Second Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum will take place on 6–7 June during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum with the support of the Roscongress Foundation.
The Forum aims to deepen the dialogue between Russia and China in the energy sector, improve the efficiency and enhance the portfolio of joint projects as well as attract investments.
Its business programme includes panel discussions on key issues concerning Russian-Chinese energy cooperation in the oil and gas industry, nuclear energy, electric power industry, and banking sector.
The Forum is organized alternately by the Rosneft Oil Company and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). This year the Forum is being organized by the Rosneft Oil Company with the support of the Roscongress Foundation.
The first Forum was held in Beijing, capital of the PRC, in November 2018 and was attended by representatives of roughly 90 companies from the energy, financial, and IT sectors, political and public figures as well as diplomats and experts from Russia and China. Over 50 bilateral meetings were held and approximately 20 agreements were signed by energy companies from both countries.
The Russian Presidential Commission for the Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security together with the National Energy Commission of China act as the coordinators of the Forum.
U.S. physicists accidentally discovered that graphene can generate energy with the help of the environment and will become a game changer in energy and bionics in the near future.
The presentation focused on the leading foreign and domestic practices and trends in supporting the energy sector.
An accreditation point for participants in the ‘Russian Energy Week’ International Forum has opened at the State Historical Museum located at 1, Red Ploschad (entrance behind the Georgy Zhukov monument) starting from 3 October. For the convenience of the Forum’s guests, the point is located within walking distance from the main venue of the event – the Manege Central Exhibition Hall (no accreditation is available in the actual Manege Hall) and will be open over the entire duration of Russian Energy Week. Participants can pick up their badges from 8:00 to 20:00 on 3 October, from 8:00 to 18:00 on 4–6 October, and from 8:00 to 16:00 on 7 October. In addition, the accreditation point at the Moscow World Trade Center located at 12, Krasnopresnenskaya Nab., Entrance 7, ground floor will continue to work from 9:00 to 20:00 on 3 October. Badges grant access to the main events of the REW 2017 business programme. Forum participants must wear the badges over the duration of the event and also carry a passport or other identity document. Badges are personalized and may not be transferred to third parties.
