Award Ceremony Held for MediaTEK All-Russian Contest for the Media, Energy Sector Press Services, and Regional Administrations

Moscow, October 4. Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Chairman of the MediaTEK Expert Council, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Executive Office and Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov have handed the winning participants in the MediaTEK All-Russian Contest for the Media, Energy Sector Press Services, and Regional Administrations their awards at the ‘Russian Energy Week’ Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum

The contest was open to federal and regional media organizations, journalists, corporate public relations departments in the fuel and energy sector, and regional administrations. The contest received some 400 entries from 55 of Russia’s regions.

According to the Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, Russian Energy Week has secured its position as one of the most important annual events in Russia and globally in the energy industry. “We are aware that energy is one of the most vital sectors in our economy. It keeps us warmer, takes us forward and is the basis for new innovative developments. Energy is everything, and the Russian energy sector should determine and govern the key trends globally. The media also plays a huge role in highlighting our activities in this sector,” said Dmitry Peskov.

The Head of the Energy Ministry reiterated that this was the third MediaTEK Contest. “We are indebted to the media and press offices that have taken a direct involvement in the fuel and energy sector. We really value your objective assessment. The level of knowledge displayed and the diversity of nominees is truly impressive,” said Alexander Novak.

The Minister stated he hoped that Russian Energy Week would be a successful discussion platform and take a worthy place among other international fuel and energy forums worldwide. “Russian Energy Week will be a place for professionals in the industry to get together and discuss the challenges and opportunities for the energy sector, exchange experience, and sign agreemnts,” said Alexander Novak.
