More than 4,000 Guests from 60 Plus Countries Expected at Russian Energy Week 2023

More than 4,000 guests from over 60 countries are expected to participate in Russian Energy Week 2023 and will include foreign prime ministers, ministers, and ambassadors and their colleagues from the CIS, foreign parliamentarians, and the heads of international and regional organizations. Russian Energy Week is being held from 11 to 13 October at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow with a programme dedicated to the ‘New Reality of World Energy: Creating the Future’.

Some of the high-level officials expected to attend include Prime Minister of Iraq Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Radovan Viskovic, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdulghani Abdulzahra Alsawad, and Executive Vice President, Minister of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade of Venezuela Delcy Eloina Rodriguez Gomez.

“This year Russian Energy Week will welcome guests from Asia, the Middle East, South America, Africa, and Europe, with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Vietnam, Myanmar, Congo, Mali and many others to be well represented. Many countries from the CIS, such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Uzbekistan, have also confirmed they will attend the Forum, demonstrating a clear interest in cooperation and a readiness for fruitful dialogue on the margins of the Forum,” Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the REW 2023 Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

Some of the heads of international organizations and associations expected to attend the Forum are Executive Secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Sergey Pospelov, and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council Taras Kupchikov.

Prominent representatives of the Russian business community who have confirmed their intention to take part include Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev, Tatneft CEO Nail Maganov, Rosseti CEO Andrey Ryumin, General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.

The REW 2023 business programme includes more than 30 events divided into thematic blocks on The International Agenda, Sustainable Development and the Climate, Scientific and Technological Development and the Digital Transformation, and The Development of Fuel and Energy Sector.
