Mr. Hamid thanked the Russian side for the invitation to take part in the event, noting the significance of Russian Energy Week: “Russia’s experience in the energy sector cannot be overemphasized. Your country is one of the largest energy exporters in the world, and we have much to learn from Russian practice.” The Minister also stressed that Bangladesh is keen to study the best international practices because the country’s population is growing with each passing year, meaning that the domestic demand for energy is also increasing.
Participants at Russian Energy Week 2017 will discuss a wide range of issues related to the prospects for the global energy market. Delegations from Japan, the United Emirates, Oman and other countries have already confirmed their participation.
