ROSSETI and OPORA RUSSIA agreed on long-term cooperation

Andrey Ryumin, Director General of ROSSETI, and Alexander Kalinin, President of OPORA RUSSIA, signed an agreement at REW aimed at strengthening cooperation in strategic and innovative development of the grid sector.

The document provides for joint actions to create favourable conditions for attracting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop and manufacture products and services for the benefit of ROSSETI Group, as well as to address the issue of import substitution.

Special attention is paid to the creation of innovative technologies, energy efficient, energy saving and environmentally friendly solutions. In addition, the parties agreed to share practices and coordinate activities in sustainable development and drafting and updating regulatory documents.

“SMEs make a great contribution to import substitution by producing in-demand and competitive products. We also understand the significant role of SMEs in developing the regions where we operate and providing employment. Over the past five years, ROSSETI’s purchases from this segment exceeded RUB 1.2 trillion. Strengthening cooperation with OPORA RUSSIA, which unites over 400 thousand entrepreneurs, will further increase the volume of work with this category of suppliers of goods and services,” said Andrey Ryumin.

“The signing of the cooperation agreement was another logical step in building efficient processes between OPORA RUSSIA and ROSSETI. One of the priorities of our cooperation will be to ensure uninterrupted technological connection of SMEs to power grids. I would like to remind you that in the summer, with the active participation of our Electric Power Industry Committee, a Coordination Council was established to strengthen interaction between ROSSETI’s companies and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as to create an additional platform for information support for entrepreneurs. As part of the implementation of the Agreement, we plan to cover a wide range of opportunities – from information interaction and joint participation in the analysis of legislation regulating the electric power industry to joint participation in the development of innovative production and energy technologies,” said Alexander Kalinin.
