REW 2021 to Feature REW Junior Youth Section

The youth section REW Junior will bring together high school students, world business leaders, and government officials in Moscow on 15 October 2021 as part of Youth Day during Russian Energy Week. The section is being organized by the Content Foundation for the Development of Expert and Analytical Activities, which will host the event as part of the Point Junior discussion and communication platform with the support of the Innopraktika non-state development institution and the Roscongress Foundation. The event will bring together schoolchildren, prominent statesmen, and representatives of major energy, oil and gas, and petrochemical companies to discuss the global energy agenda and the future of the industry in Russia.

During REW Junior, teenagers will take part in an educational eco-quest, where they will gain basic knowledge and skills in environmental safety, as well as a panel discussion that will be attended by representatives of major industrial corporations, where they will discuss career guidance, motivation within the industry, and how to choose a professional path in the energy industry.

Content Foundation Director Elena Sokolova stressed the importance of the event in terms of interaction among fuel and energy corporations and the younger generation: “Today, children are already determining their future profession at school, and companies are extremely interested in establishing communication to attract talented specialists in the future. That is why we decided to create a platform for a dialogue between the younger generation and the biggest industrial corporations in the country.”

In addition, schoolchildren will take part in events held in the format of an open dialogue, where they will meet with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Russian Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Rosatom State Corporation Director General Alexey Likhachev, and Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov.

Russian Energy Week is being organized by the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Moscow Government.
