Roscongress Signs Memorandum of Understanding with International Center for Productive Investment
The Roscongress Foundation
signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Venezuelan International
Center for Productive Investment (CIIP) as part of the
Russian Energy Week International Forum, establishing a partnership aimed at
carrying out joint projects and achieving mutually beneficial goals. The
document was signed by Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress
Foundation Alexander Stuglev and Venezuelan International Center for
Productive Investment (CIIP) President Felix Ramon Plasencia
Gonzalez.
“Russia and Latin America are
bound to one another by strong ties in a number of areas. Venezuela is one of
Russia’s key strategic partners in the region. International trade and
investment are beneficial to the growth, development, and prosperity of our
countries, and the Venezuelan International Center for
Productive Investment (CIIP) will be a reliable partner for us
in the implementation of joint projects. The agreement signed during REW will
help us find new points of growth and give impetus to the development of new,
multifaceted co-operation. I have no doubt it will be fruitful,” Stuglev said.
The Memorandum calls for the
Roscongress Foundation and the Venezuelan International Center for
Productive Investment (CIIP) to work together to organize
effective lines of communication in the interests of promoting commercial and
investment relations between the public and private sectors in Venezuela and
Russia. The parties will encourage trade and investment in markets around the
world and seek to attract foreign investment to their own countries by lending
support to companies seeking to implement development projects and investment
in manufacturing and other areas.
As part of the Memorandum, the
Roscongress Foundation and the Venezuelan International Center for
Productive Investment (CIIP) will join forces to disseminate
information, organize and conduct events and business forums, conferences,
round tables, business meetings, and presentations.
“This Memorandum of
Understanding is a legal framework that will allow us to deepen interaction
between our organizations and help create the necessary conditions for Russian
investment in Venezuela. Both institutions are committed to promoting the
advantages of our markets and organizing events that will encourage investment
in both Russia and Venezuela, events that will strengthen the commitment of
both governments to establishing a meaningful strategic relationship in
investment, trade, and business carried out in good faith for the benefit of
both nations,” Gonzalez said.
