Participants in the ASI business breakfast ‘Business Climate in Russia: Achievements and Challenges’ are invited to visit Russia House in Davos
The Agency for Strategic Initiatives held a business breakfast for foreign partners ‘Business Climate in Russia: Achievements and Challenges?’ in Moscow on 19 December 2017. It was attended by representatives of Russian official and business communities and the expert community, as well as of the diplomatic missions of Argentina, Greece, Malaysia, South Africa, Belarus, etc.
The participants addressed issues related to promoting a favourable investment climate and establishing a convenient business environment in Russia, and removing administrative barriers.
Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev welcomed the participants. He spoke about the mission and the main activities of the organization in the near term. Alexander Stuglev invited the participants in the business breakfast to visit Russia’s official residence in Davos — Russia House — to be organized by the Roscongress Foundation during the World Economic Forum from 22 through 26 January 2018.
“A busy business programme has been developed for all Russia House visitors, and networking space has been arranged for meetings and negotiations. Specifically, it is planned to hold panel discussions focusing on energy, industry, IT, a roundtable on Russia–US relations, a business breakfast centered on Eurasian integration, and a session of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC)”, he said.
Furthermore, the Roscongress head invited the participants to the key events of 2018, including St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian Investment Forum, Eastern Economic Forum and Russian Energy Week.
The World Bank has estimated the economic effect for the Russian industry, energy, and transport sectors from the introduction of energy efficiency principles at USD 100 billion. The international financial organization’s calculations confirm the forecasts of the Russian Ministry of Energy set forth in the draft Energy Strategy.
President of Schneider Electric for Russia and CIS Johan Vanderplaetse noted that Russian Energy Week was a key event for the energy industry. “Russian Energy Week has become a major platform for discussing the objectives of the industry and innovative technologies and working out solutions for the development of the energy sector, not only on a Russian scale, but on a global scale as well”, he said.
2 October, Moscow. – President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro Moros will take part in the Russian Energy Week Forum.
Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Anton Inyutsyn said Maduro would speak at the panel session ‘Oil and Geopolitics: Causes and Consequences’. The session is scheduled for 09:30 on 4 October and will be held in the Plenary conference hall. The panellists will discuss the current state of the world’s political balance and its correlation with the energy balance, and will also propose mechanisms for localizing emerging crises.
