The REW Youth Day is developing as a platform for
shaping the youth policy of the fuel and energy sector. During the discussions, the heads of the
relevant ministries, company experts and young professionals annually discuss
topics relevant to the industry and young people, and the proposals and ideas
put forward are taken into account when forming the key agenda for the next
year.
The traditional roundtable with employers and young
people will be dedicated to the theme ‘A Student and Their First Job in the Fuel
and Energy Complex’. The moderators of the meeting – Anastasia Bondarenko,
State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia, and Artem Korolev,
Director of the Reliable Change Foundation – will be joined by experts to
discuss the work of companies with universities and students and school
graduates. They will also focus on the practices of selecting and attracting
engineering students to companies in the real sector of the economy.
Leading specialists from RusHydro, YATEK, System
Operator of the Unified Energy System, Raspadskaya Coal Company, ROSSETI and T
Plus have been invited to participate in the roundtable discussion.
The event will review the results of the research
conducted by the Organizing Committee of the CASE-IN championship.
Specialists conducted a survey among representatives
of fuel and energy complex companies and students of industry-specific
universities and learnt how industry employers and graduates of
industry-specific universities interact with each other.
“The topics we will cover – career trajectories of
graduates, employment prospects and the involvement of universities and
companies in these processes – are of key importance for the training of future
specialists, the development of industry-employed youth and the formation of a
talent pool of companies. The opinions we will hear will help determine the
further vector of development and form new formats of work between employers
and students,” Artem Korolev shared his expectations from the meeting.
