The architecture of the
business programme of the 6th International Forum Russian Energy Week, to be held at the
Manege Exhibition Centre in Moscow on 11–13 October 2023, has been confirmed.
The event’s central theme will be The New Reality of Global Energy: Building
the Future. The Forum’s business programme includes more than 30 events divided
into thematic blocks: The International Agenda; Sustainable Development and the
Climate; Scientific and Technological Development, and the Digital
Transformation; and The Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector. On 10
October, on the eve of REW, a scientific and practical conference, Territory of
Energy Dialogue, will be held. The main Forum programme will also include a
business breakfast focused on the development of an exchange highway for the
fuel and energy sector. The 6th Russian Energy Week will conclude with the
traditional Youth Day.
“Throughout its
existence, REW has become, without exaggeration, a landmark event for leading
representatives of the fuel and energy sector from all over the world. This
year, the Forum platform will remain relevant for Russian market participants,
foreign guests, experts, and the media. The programme for REW 2023 will include
all the important issues in global energy development. I am convinced that the
discussions to be held at the Forum will draw additional public attention to
pressing issues in the fuel and energy sector,” said Alexander Novak, Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
In addition, as part
of REW 2023, the Global Energy international prize will be awarded, for
outstanding research and scientific and technical developments that help to
boost the efficiency and environmental safety of energy sources on Earth in the
interests of humanity. There will also be an award ceremony for the winners of
the international journalism prize, The Power of the Pen, designed to encourage
journalists, columnists, and experts who write about the most urgent issues of
modern energy, including the transformation of the global energy balance, the
development of new technologies, and climate change.
“Russian Energy Week is one of the key global events
in the energy sector. The business programme of this year’s Forum takes into
account all the most important features of the fuel and energy complex in a
world that is changing before our very eyes. The experts, whom we are, as is
customary, looking forward to seeing in Moscow, will discuss the prospects for
the development of the global energy sector and the realities in which we will
have to exist in the near future. I am confident that Russian Energy Week will
once again become a magnet for leading industry experts and a place for
meetings and lively discussions,” said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President
of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee
of REW 2023.
Russian Energy Week traditionally brings together
representatives of the industry, government agencies, the business community,
and opinion leaders ready to discuss current trends in the development of the
modern fuel and energy complex and find the right solutions to key industry
issues. Speakers and participants in the discussions at REW 2023 will discuss
the formation of global prices for energy supplies and raw materials, the
outlook for the oil industry, and the climate agenda. Special attention will be
paid to the use of digital technologies in the fuel and energy sector.
The Russian Energy Week International Forum is one of
the key global platforms for discussing current trends in the development of
the modern fuel and energy complex. The event is traditionally held at the
highest level, with the participation of the heads of the largest companies in
the energy industry. In 2022, over 70 events were held as part of REW,
involving more than 270 speakers. The Forum was attended by over 3,000
participants and media representatives from Russia and 83 other countries and
territories.
The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation
and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation with support from the
Government of Moscow.
