Russian Energy Week 2024 to be held in Moscow on 26–28 September

The 7th Russian Energy Week International Forum is one of the key international events for discussing current trends in the development of the modern fuel and energy complex, will be held on 26–28 September 2024 in Moscow. The Manege Central Exhibition Hall will traditionally serve as the Forum venue. REW is organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation with the support of the Moscow City Government.

The Forum will once again serve as a platform for discussion of the main challenges faced by the energy sector and topical problems involving the development of the gas, oil, and coal industries. In addition, among the topics in the REW programme are traditionally: petrochemistry, electricity, nuclear power, renewable energy sources (RES), digital technologies, artificial intelligence, as well as energy conservation and increased energy efficiency. The central event of the Forum's business programme will be the plenary session.

“The business autumn in Moscow will traditionally be marked by the main congress and exhibition event in the industry – the Russian Energy Week. The planned agenda of the REW 2024 will be in wide demand among the professional community. It traditionally attracts the attention of our partners from foreign countries, heads of companies, and leading industry experts. The Forum is another opportunity to strengthen the authority of our country as a global energy power,” said Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

In addition to the business programme, an exhibition exposition of the largest energy companies operating in Russia and abroad is planned. The REW 2024 venue will host the Youth Day events, as well as the award ceremony for the Global Energy Prize for outstanding research and scientific and technical developments that contribute to increasing the efficiency and environmental safety of energy sources on Earth in the interests of all mankind. Also, the awarding of the winners of the Energy of the Pen international media competition, designed to encourage journalists, columnists, and experts, who write about the most pressing issues of modern energy, will take place.

“At the moment, the state of the world energy market, its price dynamics, and level are the most important factors in shaping the development trends of the international economy. Today, there is practically no country left that is not involved in the global energy trade. In this regard, it seems natural and logical that discussions of the most likely prospects for the development of energy markets, which are traditionally held on the platform of the Russian Energy Week, arouse the understandable interest of the widest range of representatives of international business and officials. This is all the more relevant because in the foreseeable future the close correlation between GDP growth and increased energy consumption is still valid. I am confident that next year will be no exception, and Moscow will once again bring together the largest representatives of the energy community to discuss and make balanced decisions,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

In 2024, Russian Energy Week will be held for the seventh time. This year, the Forum business programme and the REW Youth Day included over 70 events with the participation of over 225 speakers. In total, over 5,000 delegates from 84 countries and territories took part in the Russian Energy Week 2023. More than 2,000 participants took part in the Youth Day events.
