Minister of Energy of
the Russian Federation Nikolay Shulginov held a working meeting with Minister
of Energy, Power and Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ali
during Russian Energy Week (REW).
The two ministers
exchanged views on ways to strengthen bilateral relations in the oil and gas
sector, including bilateral trade. They paid particular attention to the
preparation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Gas Industry
of Pakistan, including the construction of the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline.
In addition, the
ministers discussed the prospects for increasing supplies of Russian
hydrocarbons to Pakistan.
The Russian Energy Week
International Forum is a key international platform for discussions about
current trends in the modern fuel and energy industry. The CEOs of major energy
companies traditionally attend the Forum. In 2022, REW included over 70 events
with more than 270 speakers. The Forum was attended by over 3,000 participants
and media representatives from Russia and 83 countries and territories. The
Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Russian Ministry of
Energy with the support of the Moscow Government.
