The Forum
of National Achievements: Energy is currently taking place at the VDNH as part
of the International RUSAIA EXPO.
Senior
government officials, the leaders of key agencies and companies, and regional
governors are all taking part in the events of the programme.
One of the
key events of the day was a meeting with veterans and long-time energy industry
workers.
The
meeting was attended by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak,
Roscosmos State Corporation Director General Yury Borisov, the heads of Russia’s
regions, the CEOs of industry companies, and honoured energy engineers who have
devoted many years of their lives to their favourite profession. The discussion
topics included the continuity of generations at companies in the industry and
the handing down of experience to novice specialists.
The
Tumasov family, one of the oldest dynasties of the Kostroma State District
Power Plant, with combined work experience of more than 177 years, took part in
the meeting. Energy veterans spoke about their workdays and shared their
experience with the younger generation and future replacements as custodians of
the Russian fuel and energy industry.
Novak held
a meeting with university students in the ‘Dialogue as Equals’ format to bring
future energy workers and industry experts together. He said this format is
nothing new for energy industry events, since such discussions are regularly
held as part of the Youth Day of Russian Energy Week and have been deemed an
effective tool for dialogue between theorists and practitioners of the Russian
energy industry, as it allows students to discuss real cases and ask questions
that truly concern them. The meeting was also attended by the heads of Russia’s
regions and Director of the Russian Ministry of Energy’s Competence Centre for the
Technological Development of the Fuel and Energy Industry Oleg Zhdaneyev.
The job fair
‘Build a Career in the Energy Industry’ with representatives of Unigreen
Energy, Rosseti, Lukoil, Mosenergo, RusHydro, and SIBUR Holding is open
throughout the day.
Partners
of the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship, whose twelfth season
will open on the sidelines of the expo later today, are also among those
participating in the fair.
Young
people have a chance to meet potential employers, fill out forms to be included
in the talent pool, and show off their skills in career-oriented games and
competitions. The most active participants will receive prizes from the
organizers.
The Forum is being organized by the Government of the
Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the
Directorate of the Exhibition of Russia’s Achievements. The operator is the
Roscongress Foundation.
