Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anton Inyutsyn gave a presentation on the Heating Supply Efficiency Ranking during a panel session at the ‘Russian Energy Week’ Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum.
Among those participating in the session were Deputy Governor of Kemerovo Region for Housing, Communal Services, and Roads Dmitry Kudryashov, Deputy Head of the Lipetsk Region Administration Aleksandr Narolin, and leading energy company representatives.
Moderating was Vice President and Head of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Standardization at the non-commercial partnership Russian Heat Supply Vasiliy Polivanov.
Participants concluded that a new model for the heating supply market, which became available for Russian regions to transition to this year under Federal Law No. 279-FZ, should help to attract investment into modernizing and increasing efficiency in heating supply systems.
“Ensuring a good-quality and efficient heating supply for citizens is a focal point of government policy, and efforts towards this goal will only intensify”, Anton Inyutsyn said in conclusion, noting that the Russian Ministry of Energy was open to suggestions from regions and professional associations as to how to improve the ranking, which will be published on an annual basis.
