The second meeting of the
Organizing Committee of the Russian Energy Week International Forum 2023 was
held in Moscow. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian
Federation Alexander Novak. The meeting was attended by representatives of
federal authorities, energy companies and industry communities.
Opening the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation
Alexander Novak said: “REW remains one of the most popular discussion platforms
in the energy industry. I am confident that this year’s Forum will again become
a point of attraction for key industry players, help develop necessary
solutions, share opinions and establish partnerships.”
The accreditation of REW 2023 participants has started: participation terms and conditions, the application form via the Roscongress
personal account and the registration form for new participants are available on the official Forum website.
Pavel Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, spoke about the status of the REW 2023 business programme. It is expected to cover all areas of the fuel and energy complex. Particular attention will be paid to the climate agenda.
Alexey Kulapin, General Director of the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, also gave a presentation. He stressed that the Forum’s business programme is planned to be supplemented by events on fundamental scientific research and advanced technologies. The proposed architecture of the business programme now includes about one third of them. In addition, the topic of scientific and technological development of the fuel and energy sectors is planned to be a separate scientific and practical conference ‘The Territory of Energy Dialogue’, which will be held on the opening day of REW 2023.

Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive
Secretary of the REW 2023 Organizing Committee, spoke about preparations for
the Youth Day, the events of which will take place at the Forum venue on 13
October. “Traditionally, special attention is given to the REW Youth Day. The
Roscongress Foundation and the Nadezhnaya Smena Foundation have developed a
concept for the Youth Day of the Forum, and with the participation of the
Russian Znanie Society, a concept for organizing the main plenary session of
the Youth Day,” said Anton Kobyakov.
The Youth Day programme is expected
to include around 40 events, with around 1,500 participants. In addition, the
Youth Day programme will include a promotional presentation of the World
Festival of Youth and Students, which will take place in February–March 2024.
Sergey Brilev, President of
the Global Energy Association, spoke about the Global Energy International
Award Ceremony, which will be traditionally held at REW 2023. At the moment,
the receipt of applications for the award is coming to an end, and the long
list of nominees is being prepared.
The Russian Energy Week International Forum will take place in Moscow from 11 to 13 October. The venue, as in previous years, will be the Manege Central Exhibition Hall.
The Russian Energy Week International Forum is
a key international platform for discussions about current trends in the
development of the fuel and energy industry. The event is traditionally held at
the highest level and attended by leaders of the largest companies in the
energy industry. This year, REW included over 70 events with more than 270
speakers. More than 3,000 participants and media representatives from Russia
and 83 foreign countries and territories took part in the Forum. The event is
organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Russian Ministry of Energy with
the support of the Moscow Government.
