Russian Minister of Energy and Minister of Science and Higher Education to meet with youth as part of REW 2018

On 6 October 2018, as part of Russian Energy Week #TogetherBrighter Youth Day, Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak and Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Mikhail Kotyukov will hold an informal meeting with fuel and energy sector students and young professionals. The department heads will answer questions from discussion participants. BRICS country youth from India and Brazil will also be given an opportunity to talk with the ministers via video conference.

Discussion topics look to focus on the future of energy, the role of Russia in the global energy market, environmental aspects of the industry, modern technology, and human resources.

At the end of the meeting, awards will be presented to youth competition winners and laureates. Prize winners from the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship Young Specialists’ League and project leaders for the youth forecast project on technological development in the fuel and energy sector, the All-Russian competition of final qualifying works, and the competition in jurisprudence in the energy sector will receive their awards directly from the ministers themselves.
