The winners will be announced and awarded in a ceremony that will take place as part of the forum Russian Energy Week, which will be held from October 12 to 14, 2022. The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation with support from the Government of Moscow.

Only pieces that were released or published in the media on or after January 1, 2021 are eligible for the Contest; co-authored works and other collaborations are also welcome. “An important role in the development of the energy sector of today is played not only by scientists who discover new applications for fossil fuels and renewable energy sources, but also by journalists and experts who cover the most urgent issues of the industry’s contemporary evolution. This is especially relevant now, amidst high turbulence across energy markets,” said Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association.
A panel of judges will evaluate the submissions according to a number of preset criteria, including relevance, uniqueness, accuracy of the facts communicated in the piece, and substantive depth of the work.
Submissions to the Contest, both in Russian and in English, are to be emailed on or before September 22 to: media_competition@ge-prize.org.
The rules for submitting applications can be found on the website of the Global Energy Association.
