The Moscow Kremlin is one of the largest architectural and urban ensembles in the world. It is located in the center of the Russian capital on a high hill above the Moskva River. The height of the Kremlin walls, narrow loopholes, battlements, and the measured steps of the towers all indicate that it is primarily a fortress. However, when you enter the Kremlin, your impression changes. Within its 28-hectare territory, there are spacious squares, beautiful plazas, majestic palaces, and numerous temples. It's like a city within a city, created over many centuries, still preserving the monuments of Russian architecture from the 14th to the 20th centuries. These monuments compose the ensembles of Sobornaya, Ivanovskaya, Senatskaya, Dvortsovaya, and Troitskaya squares, as well as Spasskaya, Borovitskaya, and Dvortsovaya streets. All the ancient and modern squares of the Kremlin form a cohesive urban plan, each with its own unique history and distinctive architectural appearance.
The Moscow Kremlin State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve comprises the Armoury Chamber and the architectural ensemble of Sobornaya Square. This ensemble encompasses the Dormition, Archangel, and Annunciation Cathedrals, along with the Church of the Deposition of the Robe, the Patriarch’s Palace, the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, as well as exhibition halls located within the Dormition Belfry and the One-Pillar Chamber of the Patriarch's Palace.
You can access the Kremlin through the Kutafya Tower and the Armoury via the Borovitsky Gate. Due to potential queues, we recommend planning your visit to the Moscow Kremlin Museums in advance (30–40 minutes).

The historic building of the Tretyakov Gallery at 10 Lavrushinsky Pereulok is located within a complex of buildings, the core of which is a mansion dating back to the second half of the 18th century. The Tretyakov family acquired this house in 1851. When beginning his collection of paintings by Russian artists in 1856, Pavel Tretyakov initially displayed them in the living rooms. As the collection expanded, additional rooms were needed for its exhibition, and in 1872, extensions were added to the house. Further extensions were built five times during Tretyakov's lifetime. In 1902–1904, the exterior of the building facing Lavrushinsky Pereulok was reconstructed based on a design inspired by a drawing by Viktor Vasnetsov. This new facade, reflecting Russian architectural style, became the symbol of the museum, which saw rapid growth in its collection during the 20th century. In 1936, another exhibition building was added, and between 1986 and 1995, a comprehensive renovation of the building was undertaken. This expansion involved enclosing the inner courtyards, significantly increasing the exhibition space. The building holds the status of being an object of cultural heritage of federal significance.
Today, the historic building of the Tretyakov Gallery houses an exposition of Russian art from the 12th century to the early 20th century. It occupies 62 rooms on two floors, is organized into chronological sections, and provides an insight into the development of the national artistic tradition.

The New Tretyakov Gallery presents the most comprehensive permanent exhibition of Russian art from the 20th century in all its diversity, including avant-garde, socialist realism, austere style, underground art, and the latest trends. Large-scale retrospectives featuring great Russian artists and experimental exhibitions by young artists are regularly held here. The lecture hall and creative workshops provide a wide range of theoretical knowledge and practical classes for children, students, and adults interested in art from the 20th and early 21st centuries.
The exhibition of Russian art from the second half of the 20th century has been refreshed in Halls 27–35 and 37. In addition to the well-known masterpieces from the museum's collection, it showcases new acquisitions and gifts that have been contributed to the Tretyakov Gallery's collection in recent years. For the first time, the exhibition includes rooms dedicated to unofficial art from the 1960s–1980s and the latest trends of the late 20th century.

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts is a museum complex with one of the largest collections of foreign art in Russia. Today, its collection contains about 700,000 works of art from different epochs, starting from Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece and extending to the beginning of the 21st century. The museum's exceptional collections include a collection of French art from the 19th and 20th centuries, which is one of the most renowned in the world.

The building on the grounds of the Bolshevik business and cultural complex, which currently houses the Museum of Russian Impressionism, was originally intended for storing flour and sugar. The construction from the 1960s stands out in the architectural ensemble designed by the Frenchman Oscar Didio at the end of the 19th century. The historic factory buildings were commissioned by the sons of a confectioner named Sioux, also of French descent. The sons acquired the site for construction, a plot of land on the Petersburgskoye Shosse, from a Moscow merchant. The "new model production" was created and built using the latest technology of the time.
