October 12, 2022

RusHydro and Positive Technologies signed an agreement of intent today on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week. The parties agreed on comprehensive cooperation and joint efforts to improve the cyber security of RusHydro’s information systems, including the company’s subsidiaries.

To achieve these goals, RusHydro and Positive Technologies will consider conducting joint cyber training to verify the security of RusHydro’s information systems and measures to improve their security. In addition, the partners intend to create prototypes of cyber defence systems and measures, including those based on real infrastructure.

This is not the first agreement signed by the companies. Earlier, at the Eastern Economic Forum, RusHydro, Positive Technologies, and Far Eastern Federal University signed a memorandum on the development of long-term cooperation in information security. Its goal is to implement the Cyber Security vocational training programme aimed at meeting the needs of RusHydro Group companies while training personnel at FEFU.

Priority areas of cooperation include organization of on-the-job, pre-graduation and research internships for FEFU students at RusHydro Group; provision of methodological, information and consulting support in cybersecurity; organization of joint educational and scientific and technical events and experimental research and development work.
