Moscow hosted the first meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Russian Energy Week International Forum (from 15 to 17 October 2025), under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. The event was attended by representatives of federal authorities, energy companies and industry communities.

Opening the meeting, Alexander Novak noted the substantive level of the business programme, the geography of participants and guests of the Russian Energy Week 2024. Deputy Prime Minister said that this year’s programme will retain its content, diversity and intensity, as well as expand its international representation. “REW 2024 has once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most significant events in the field of international energy. In this cycle of Forum preparations, special attention will be paid to inviting the foreign business community. Presentation briefings for representatives of foreign organizations are expected to be held in Moscow in order to internationally position REW 2025,” noted Alexander Novak.

The main events of the REW 2025 programme will take place at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall and are scheduled for 15 and 16 October, with 17 October becoming Youth Day. In addition, an exhibition of industry innovation projects and high-tech equipment for the fuel and energy sector will be organized again at the Gostiny Dvor site. This year, more than 50 exhibitors presented their technological developments and equipment for all energy sectors.

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Russian Energy Week International Forum, outlined the main elements of preparations for the Forum in 2025. “In preparing the business programme of next year’s Forum, greater emphasis will be placed on dialogue with foreign partners in all energy sectors, as well as on the involvement of the heads of partner energy companies in the Forum and personal participation in the programme sessions. In this regard, more active work will be done to promote the Forum to foreign audiences in Asia, Africa and the Arab World. I am confident that next year Russian Energy Week, as an effective tool for the comprehensive development of international relations, will once again become a place of attraction for serious international industry specialists, energy company executives, foreign officials, and representatives of the business, expert and media communities,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov.

This year’s REW programme will be structured in several key areas: oil and gas and coal industry, electric power industry, digital technologies, scientific and technological development of the energy industry, climate agenda, energy security and other areas. The central event of the business programme will be the plenary session. Special attention will be paid to the nuclear power industry within the framework of the 80th anniversary of the industry; it is planned to organize a large stand of nuclear industry technologies and equipment at the Exhibition.

On the eve of the Russian Energy Week events, the scientific and practical conference ‘Territory of Energy Dialogue’ will be held for the fourth time. The conference is of applied nature and is designed to ensure communication between the engineering complex and scientific institutions.
