The business programme architecture for the “Territory
of Energy Dialogue 2023” Scientific and Practical Conference has been approved.
The event is set to take place on 10 October 2023 in Moscow, on the eve of the
Russian Energy Week International Forum. The plenary session will focus on
medium‑ and long-term scientific and technological development in the fuel and
energy sector in the new reality.
Among those invited to the discussion are Ivan
Lobanov, Rector of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics; Andrey
Klepach, Chief Economist at VEB.RF; Alexey Kulapin, General Director of the
Russian Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation;
Nikolay Rogalev, Rector of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute; and Grigory
Gladkovsky, Deputy Chief Engineer at Rosseti. The main trends affecting the
development of the global energy market will come under discussion, with
participants also identifying the most promising areas for technological
development in Russia’s energy sector.
“Today, our
country’s fuel and energy sector faces a number of major challenges with regard
to further development and the implementation of new technology. It is for this
reason that the business programme focuses on the industry needs of traditional
and new energy, energy security, methods of forecasting the development of the
energy sector in Russia and around the world, and other key topics. Our
conference will come up with recommendations on ways the fundamental and
applied sciences can interact with the real sector of the economy. This will be
with the view to reducing the time taken from scientific discovery to
implementation as much as possible,” said General Director of the Russian Energy Agency Alexey Kulapin.
The conference will provide a meeting point for
representatives of the fuel and energy sector (and related industries),
high-tech companies, scientific organizations, and development institutions.
Together, they will share ideas on the development of the fuel and energy
sector, and determine development pathways for the industry at both the
national and international level.
The panel sessions will focus on the following topics:
• Forecasting
models and methods in relation to the development of the Russian and global
energy sectors
• Technologies,
projects, and mechanisms related to distributed and local energy projects
• The
development of technologies for the energy sector and the potential to enter
new markets
• Technological
development in the coal industry
• The
potential of alternative fuels and technologies for the automotive sector
• Methodological
approaches to statistics in the energy sector
• The
current state of technology in hydrogen energy and future potential
• Priorities
and opportunities in relation to energy security
• A
development strategy for the energy sectors of Russia and ASEAN member states
to 2035
The mission of the event is to facilitate scientific
and technological development in the fuel and energy sector, with the aim of
attaining stability and technological sovereignty for the long term.
Participation in the conference is free of charge.
The “Territory of Energy Dialogue 2023” Scientific and
Practical Conference will be held as part of the Russian Energy Week
International Forum, which will take place on 11–13 October 2023 at Manege
Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow.
