Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, and Alexander Novak,
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, met with Peter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign
Affairs and Trade of Hungary, as part of Russian Energy Week.
During the meeting, the
parties discussed issues of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, as
well as priority projects of industrial cooperation.
"It is pleasing that
Russian Energy Week, as well as the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, has become a
traditional occasion for your visit to Russia," Denis Manturov said at the
beginning of the meeting.
"Hungary, despite the
need to fulfil its bloc obligations, remains, in fact, the only EU country
firmly defending its national interests, including its sovereign position in
the dialogue with Moscow. For our part, we highly appreciate the balanced and
objective foreign policy line of the Hungarian leadership and are firmly
determined to further develop cooperation with Hungary," Alexander Novak
emphasized.
