
The business programme of the
3rd scientific and practical conference Territory of Energy Dialogue (TED) is
published on the updated conference website. TED 2024
will include a plenary session and nine panel discussions, as well as an
informal meeting with the winners of the annual Global Energy International
Prize.
The event will take place on
25 September in Moscow, on the opening day of the Russian Energy Week
International Forum. The International Trade Centre on Krasnopresnenskaya
Naberezhnaya has been chosen as the venue for TED 2024. The Conference is
organized by the REA of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Roscongress
Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian
Federation.
The conference will be
attended by representatives of fuel and energy companies and related
industries, authorities, scientific organizations and the expert community,
including Deputy Ministers of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergey
Mochalnikov and Eduard Sheremettsev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma
Committee on Energy Yuri Stankevich, Chief Economist of the VEB.RF Development
Group Andrey Klepach, First Deputy Director General of RusHydro Roman
Berdnikov, Director of the Department of New Business Support of Rosatom State
Corporation Dmitry Baidarov, Rector of MPEI Nikolay Rogalyov, and others.
They will discuss priority and
critical technologies in the oil and gas, coal-fired heat and power sectors,
and try to find the optimal technological choice and the conditions for its
provision.
“The main topic of the
conference will be ensuring the technological sovereignty of the Russian fuel
and energy complex. Among other things, this issue includes creating conditions
for the formation of an industry order in the fuel and energy sector, digital
transformation of the energy sector, and accelerating the transfer of
scientific developments into production. An integral part of this process is
the creation of a comprehensive and continuous system of qualified personnel
training, increasing the role of scientific and technical information as a
resource and investment in technological sovereignty, as well as consideration
of energy security issues and solving environmental problems in the fuel and
energy complex industries,” said Alexey Kulapin, Chairman of the
Conference Organizing Committee, Director General of the Russian Energy Agency
of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
The participants will focus on
issues related to the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence,
as well as cybersecurity of energy systems. Particular attention will be paid
to the development of localized generation, efficient water management in
energy production and increasing the environmental friendliness of the fuel and
energy sector.
A special feature of this year’s conference will be an informal meeting with renowned international experts and scientists who have won the Global Energy Prize 2024. During an informal discussion with the participation of Sergey Tsivilev, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, and Sergey Brilev, President of the Association for the Development of International Energy Research and Projects, journalist and TV presenter, they will share their vision of the world energy development paths on the horizon up to 2100, talk about promising technologies and possible scenarios for the transformation of the fuel and energy complex, as well as answer questions from the guests.
