Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to take part in REW 2017

2 October, Moscow. – President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro Moros will take part in the Russian Energy Week Forum.

Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Anton Inyutsyn said Maduro would speak at the panel session ‘Oil and Geopolitics: Causes and Consequences’. The session is scheduled for 09:30 on 4 October and will be held in the Plenary conference hall. The panellists will discuss the current state of the world’s political balance and its correlation with the energy balance, and will also propose mechanisms for localizing emerging crises.

“The event will be moderated by American correspondent Ryan Chilcote”, Inyutsyn said. Over his career in journalism, CBS News and PBS NewsHour reporter Ryan Chilcote has worked in the United States, several European countries, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, South Africa, Sudan, Kenya, and Iceland.
