The #BrighterTogether Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week 2019 to Host the YEA BRICS Summit

The annual Summit of the BRICS Youth Energy Agency will take place on 4–5 October 2019 in Moscow and will become the central event of the #BrighterTogether Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week International Forum (REW).

The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation, BRICS Youth Energy Agency and Moscow State Institute for International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of Russia (Rosmolodezh) and the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
Industry youth representatives from the BRICS countries and beyond, including Egypt and Turkey, will attend the summit. The event is to bring together representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Rosmolodezh, Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian and global power industry leaders, including Rosneft, Rosatom, Zarubezhneft, and RusHydro. The experts from public organizations, foundations, and leading BRICS industry-specific educational institutions will contribute to the summit.
In total, 90 summit delegates selected through a rigorous competition and more than 100 programme participants are to attend the event.
For two days, the Russian Energy Week events with the participation of senior management and experts from international organizations, leading Russian oil and gas, electricity and generating companies will be open for the youth. Young industry leaders will discuss their challenges with government and business representatives. The Energy 4.0 format of industry development and the digital cooperation between young industry professionals and scientists are the key topics of the summit. The YEA BRICS Summit is a unique opportunity for industrious youth from around the world to meet and share their standpoints.
The presentation of the Plan for Youth Energy Cooperation within the Russian Presidency in BRICS in 2020 and the presentation of the BRICS Youth Energy Outlook 2019 developed by students from 10 universities worldwide and over 100 BRICS researchers are the two of highly anticipated Summit events.
The Russian Energy Week organizers are the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Government of Moscow and the Roscongress Foundation. The ‘Nadezhnaya Smena’ Foundation heads the organizing committee of the REW Youth Day.


The First BRICS Youth Energy Agency Summit was hosted by Russian Energy Week 2018 International Forum to create an international platform for cooperation in the field of energy for the youth and to shape a common youth energy cooperation agenda and the action plan for the countries of the association.

The Russian Energy Week is organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation with the support of Moscow Government.
