The Moscow government will take part in the business and
exhibition programme of the Russian Energy Week International Forum, which is
to take place on 2–5 October in Moscow, at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall.
The organizers of the Russian Energy Week are the Ministry of the Russian
Federation and the Roscongress Foundation.
During the Forum, Moscow representatives will present latest
accomplishments and share plans for the development of the fuel and energy
complex of the city. They will also talk about the implementation of innovative
and digital solutions to create a comfortable environment and improve the
quality of life for the residents.
“The Moscow fuel and energy complex is not only the largest
in Russia, but it is an internationally renown unique system. The capacity of
the Moscow energy system exceeds the capacity of some megacities and countries.
Over the past nine years, Moscow has introduced many innovative and digital
solutions that have brought the city’s energy efficiency to a new level, improved
the environment and provided continuous energy to citizens and businesses,”
said Moscow Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov.
At the Forum, representatives of Russian and international
fuel and energy industry will discuss the most sought-after technologies,
solutions and business models, the ways to ensure the reliability and safety of
existing systems and expand energy capacities while reducing their maintenance
cost. What legislation amendments are needed to introduce new solutions? How
can the state support and stimulate this process?
“Comfortable urban environment is a driver of urban
development, and the fuel and energy complex is becoming one of the main
mechanisms to improve the quality of life in the city. The city’s fuel and
energy infrastructure develops in response to demand. The city needs to
establish a channel of communication with its citizens and engage them in the
decision-making and implementation processes,” said Pyotr Biryukov.
