On 4 October the All-Russian meeting on the ‘Preparation of the Electric Power Industry for Autumn and Winter 2019/2020’ was held at the REW 2019 Forum. It was attended by the heads of ministries and departments, State Duma deputies, executives and chief engineers of large energy companies, representatives of regional authorities and municipal headquarters focused on improving reliability.

On 4 October, as part of the Russian Energy Week Forum, a state-wide conference took place on promotion of energy efficiency and transparency of fuel & energy companies, chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anton Inyutsyn.

A meeting has taken place to discuss plans for the upcoming 25th World Energy Congress, which will be held in 2022 in St. Petersburg. Among those in attendance were Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the WEC 2022 Organizing Committee Dmitry Kozak, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the WEC 2022 Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov, Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev, and Chairman of the World Energy Council Jean-Marie Dauger. Dauger’s visit coincided with the Russian Energy Week International Forum, which is running from 2 to 6 October in Moscow.

The Russian Energy Week International Forum business programme continued today, on October 4, with a round table discussion on titled ‘Modernization of Thermal Power Generation in Russia: Successful Implementation and Improvements’.

The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak, has taken part in the 21st Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

The ‘Power Engineering: Prospects for the Development of High-Capacity Gas Turbines in the Russian Federation’ discussion took place on 3 October on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week 2019 Forum.

The Russian Energy Week 2019 Forum continued with the session titled ‘Central Asia: Key to the Development of International Projects in the Electric Power Industry’.

On 3 October 2019, the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin announced the launch at Russian Energy Week of the competition ‘Top 10 Innovative Companies in the Energy Sector’ as part of the Business Priority project.

On 3 October 2019 the session ‘EU–Russia Partnership: Opportunities for the Environmental Transformation of the Energy Market’ was held at Russian Energy Week.

On the second day of Russian Energy Week 2019, a panel session has taken place entitled ‘Digital transformation of the oil and gas sector: new opportunities for state and business” with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Pavel Sorokin.

On 3 October, the panel discussion ‘Stimulating Oil Extraction in the Russian Federation’ was held at the REW 2019 Forum.

A panel discussion titled ‘Energy of the Future: Technological Solutions for Cities and Regions’ was held today, on 3 October, as part of the Russian Energy Week International Forum.
