Kirill Molodtsov invites press conference participants to develop oil and gas during REW 2017

During a press conference titled ‘Oil and Gas Production on the Russian Continental Shelf: Status and Prospects’, Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Kirill Molodtsov invited the event’s participants and guests to take part in the 'Russian Energy Week' Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum (REW) on 3–7 October 2017.

The press conference was attended by Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Geology and the Development of Oil, Gas, and Coal Deposits Alexei Kontorovich, Lukoil Vice President for Exploration and Development Ilya Mandrik, Deputy Head of the Federal Subsoil Use Agency Orest Kasparov, Head of the Gazprom Department for Offshore Field Development Machinery and Technology Vadim Petrenko as well as representatives of the national media.

REW 2017 will specifically address issues related to the development of oil and gas production on the continental shelf of Russia.

“In recent years, we have actively increased the volume of production in the Arctic. Last year, production in the Arctic zone amounted to 93 million tonnes. This year, oil production in the region will grow by about 10% and reach roughly 100 million tonnes”, Molodtsov said.
