Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev and President of LLC Orion Heritage President of the Russian–American Council for Business Cooperation David Yakobashvili have confirmed that they will personally take part in Russian Energy Week 2017.
The RDIF is a Russian sovereign investment fund that was established in 2011 and invests directly in leading and promising Russian companies jointly with major global investors.
“Over the course of our work, we have invested more than a trillion roubles in various Russian companies, with 100 billion roubles in RDIF funds and 900 billion roubles in funds from our partners. We also have a positive effect on the Russian economy. For example, we are developing hydroelectric power stations in Karelia, building intelligent networks, and have reduced losses in the electricity grid by 20%”, Dmitriev said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in July this year.
Dmitriev said REW will offer an opportunity for a constructive dialogue with potential investors.
The Russian–American Council for Business Cooperation (RACBC) was established based on instructions from the Russian president at the initiative of major Russian industrial companies and financial institutions. The Council is involved in the practical implementation of programmes that aim to enhance Russia’s cooperation with the United States as well as the drafting of regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation in this regard.
RACBC President David Yakobashvili has repeatedly stressed the importance and long-term benefits of Russian-American business cooperation in his speeches.
Prospects for international relations in the energy sector as well as investment potential will be one of the key topics during REW 2017.
