One of the central events of
Youth Day at Russian Energy Week on 15 October will be the ‘Dialogue as
Equals’, which will provide participants an opportunity to interact directly
with representatives of the country’s leadership, the Russian Ministry of Energy,
and CEOs of energy companies. They will answer guests’ questions and present
awards to the winners of industry competitions held throughout the year. The
Russian Society Znaniye is a partner of Youth Day and a co-organizer of the
‘Dialogue as Equals’. The ‘Dialogue as Equals’ events will be broadcast on the
website of the Russian Society Znaniye at znanierussia.ru and in the VKontakte
group: vk.com/znanierussia.
Russian Energy Week is a major
event in the Russian fuel and energy industry. This year it is taking place on 13–15 October at the
Manege Central Exhibition Hall. The final day of the Forum will be entirely
devoted to the youth agenda. The Russian Society Znaniye is a partner of Youth
Day. The organizers are the Roscongress Foundation, the Russian Ministry of
Energy, the Moscow Government, and the Nadezhnaya Smena Foundation.
Dozens of events attended by
politicians, experts, and company leaders in the fuel and energy sector will be
held for schoolchildren, university students, young professionals, and experts.
The key event of Youth Day will be the ‘Dialogue as Equals’, which will start
with a meeting between children and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander
Novak. The participants will then be introduced to the topic of ‘Green Atom: The
Role of Nuclear Energy in Saving the Planet’. They will have a chance to pose questions
to Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation Director General Alexey Likhachev.
ESN Group Chairman of the Board of Directors Grigory Berezkin will speak to the young people about how to manage demand in the electric power industry, while Gazprom Neft Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Dyukov will address the topic ‘Global Energy Crisis: An Actual Reality? How to Maintain a Balance between Green and Traditional Energy?’ The event will also be attended by Director of the Precourt Institute of Energy and Global Energy Prize Laureate Yi Cui.
“We are extremely pleased that the Russian Society Znaniye has become a partner of REW and a co-organizer of the ‘Dialogue as Equals’ as part of the Forum’s Youth Day. This event fully meets the Society’s goals and objectives – to create opportunities for an open dialogue and live interaction between young people and ‘senior officials’. We took a serious approach to developing the programme and tried to make it as eventful and interesting as possible so that the kids can fully immerse themselves in such an important and significant topic for the economy as the fuel and energy industry. The meeting participants will not only be able to personally interact with government officials and CEOs of leading companies in the fuel and energy industry and gain knowledge in this area, but also tell the audience about their projects, which is equally important,” Russian Society Znaniye General Director Maxim Dreval said.
