On 5 October, during the Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week an interdepartmental meeting is to take place. The meeting will be dedicated to promoting fuel and energy sector, environmentally conscious behavior and engineering education among the young people.

The Global Energy Prize Award Ceremony 2019 will be held on 3 October, the second day of the Russian Energy Week International Forum. This time, Frede Blaabjerg from Denmark is awarded for the development of an intelligent renewable energy management system, along with Dr. Khalil Amine from the United States for his contribution to the development of efficient energy storage technology.

The Moscow government will take part in the business and exhibition programme of the Russian Energy Week International Forum, which is to take place on 2–5 October in Moscow, at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall. The organizers of the Russian Energy Week are the Ministry of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation.

On 2 October, during the Russian Energy Week International Forum, a session ‘Key Factors in the Competitiveness of the Global Petrochemical Chemistry: A Paradigm Shift?’ will be held with the support of SIBUR.

Russian Energy Week 2019 will launch ‘Top 10 Innovative Energy Companies’ competition. It aims to identify the most solicited and promising innovative solutions to significantly change the energy sector both in Russia and worldwide. The organizers are the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation. The Russian Energy Week 2019 is to take place on 2–5 October in Moscow.

The winners will be awarded on 2–4 October during the Russian Energy Week International Forum in Moscow.

The Russian Energy Week International Forum will be held in Moscow on 2–5 October 2019, under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Government of Moscow.

On 3 October 2019, at the Russian Energy Week in Moscow, the 21st ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) will be held. The event will be preceded by a meeting of the GECF Executive Council.

The Russian Energy Week International Forum will be held on 2–5 October 2019 in the Central Exhibition Hall ‘Manege’. Representatives of Rosatom State Corporation will join international experts in a plenary session discussing the role of nuclear technology in achieving sustainable development goals.

Panel discussion titled ‘The Evolution of Energy Systems: a Global Perspective’ will be held at the Central Exhibition Hall Manege during the Russian Energy Week (REW 2019) on 4 October 2019. The session is organized with the support of Rosseti FGC UES and the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE – the largest community of industry experts, bringing together professionals from 98 countries).

At the closing ceremony of the 24th World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi, the right to host the anniversary 25th Congress, slated for 24-27 October 2022 in St Petersburg, was passed to Russia.

The Organizing Committee in charge of preparing for and holding the 25th World Energy Congress in St. Petersburg in 2022 held its first meeting in Moscow. The meeting was chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak and attended by Advisor to the Russian President and Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov, Russian Minister of Energy and Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee Alexander Novak, World Energy Council Russian National Committee Executive Director Andrey Logatkin as well as representatives of ministries and agencies that are responsible for preparing for the event.
