The Organizing Committee in charge of preparing the 25th World Energy Congress, which will be held on 24–27 October 2022 in St. Petersburg, held its fourth meeting in Moscow chaired by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidium of the Russian National Committee of the World Energy Council Association Alexander Novak.
Russian Energy Week is an international event which provides a platform to discuss the main economic challenges in energy, as well as current issues concerning the development of the fuel and energy sector. This year’s edition of the Forum took place in Moscow on 13–15 October 2021. It was organized by the Roscongress Foundation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Moscow City Government. The event brought together 2,500 participants from more than 80 countries, while the business programme included 32 events featuring 204 speakers.
15 October was Youth Day at the Russian Energy Week International Forum in Moscow. A thousand young specialists, students and school pupils, along with senior figures from government bodies, energy companies, and universities attended the event. Together, they discussed practical issues related to working with young people, and worked to build a youth agenda for the fuel and energy sector in 2022.

The heads of the Russian Ministry of Energy, Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, presidential platform ‘Russia – the Country of Opportunities’, and 33 companies from the fuel and energy industry got together for Youth Day at the Russian Energy Week International Forum. They discussed cooperation within the framework of the fuel and energy industry’s youth policy in 2022.
The Green Energy in the Arctic Conference was held in Moscow under the aegis of Russian Energy Week 2021 and the 2021–2023 Russian Chairmanship of the Arctic Council. The event was organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic. The conference was attended by representatives of federal agencies, development institutes, and Russian and international companies.
